About Pagan386 & her little bit of the www

Pags CircleWhy is this blog here:

This is the place where my ramblings  that are  more than 140 words & characters are posted. It is hosted on my little bit of the web paganfreak.org , it doesn’t belong to a Corporation and isn’t sponsored by one. Its mine, all mine.

A little bit about online me:

I recall using DOS programs to dial up and connect to a computer at the British Library, yes that’s how old I am in Internet years. I have always had the moniker of  pagan386. Why did I choose that name, well it isn’t because I practice paganism, because I don’t. No, simply the name was chosen because although I have lived in the wonderful city of London over half of my life, I wasn’t born here. I am actually a child born of the countryside. Bedfordshire to be precise.  So now back to the name, its like this,  Paganus (latin for pagan), means Country dweller, Peasant. Which is my ancestry on both family lines of my parents.  Hence the first part pagan. The 386 was simply added on from the first computer I ever brought myself a Compaq Deskpr0 386s. (This wasn’t my actual 1st computer, I had a couple of 286’s before then, but they were given to me). So there you have it pagan386 came about because I was a peasant with a 386 computer.

Oh and that little 386 computer…I still have it to this day & yes it still boots up.

I have online been through the times when chatrooms such as those run by yahell, (more commonly known as Yahoo), were actually much fun & great for chatting socially with people worldwide, then saw as they were destroyed as they filled up with porn bots, trolls & well generally moronic socially inept fucktards. I have seen Google  go from a nice clean search engine to an all invasive corporate devil…`Don’t be Evil.‘ …my arse!

However, I believe that the Internet can & is a global form of communication that can be a tool in which to encourage its users to do & be involved in great & wonderful things, so long as we all continue to add content, critique content, & not just be involved but start conversations or else it will turn into a mere conduit for which we all consume Government, Corporate or Religious lifestyles.

Really who wants to be a zombie?
