I love the fact that a metropolis such as London can still retain ancient woodland spaces.
This series of pictures are of Highgate wood, in addition to this another set of pictures will be added of Coldfall Woods. Both woodland areas are the remnants of an ancient forest.
As you can see, not all of this part of South East England is completely concreted over, & hopefully these woodland areas will last another thousand years..plus.
