No politics here…well not much..

This pagan386 blog will concern itself with  my work on the paganfreak.net website &  other posts regarding  Arts & Entertainment  that I have seen, heard, etc.  I shall still update occassionally  We’re all Monkeys , which will still run as the blog for my political ramblings.

The three posts below this are imported from we’re all monkeys as they are more suited to this Blog.

>Back @ work…tra la la. Weather here in London sucks big time. Looking to see what Expo’s are on at the museums & Galleries as I need to get out of the flat more @ w/ends. Work hasnt been busy at all …. must be the recession! But hey @ least I still have a job. Whilst I feel for the Woolies workers & such like as they are loosing theirs I just cant say the same about the (w) bankers & estate agents !! 😛 ..Lifes on a go slow @ the moment will post again , when hopefully something more interesting is going on. 🙂

>Christmas

>Well back from Sister V’s in South London, had a lovely Christmas with her & John considering the sad circumstances of Mum passing away on the 15th. Started Christmas Eve with the sad task of ordering the wreath for mums funereal on the 6th of January before myself, Sister V & a friend Karen did some last minute Christmas Shopping in Croydon. Thankfully it wasnt too crowded. (unlike boxing day, the scenes I saw on tv with the opening of the sales…some people are barbarians I tell ya!) Christmas Day was..Breakfast, shower, put on Dinner to cook whilst we took noff for a leisurely pit or three at the locals Witherspoons…Back home Eat dinner..a wee sit down & then of back to the Pub.
Only stayed in the Witherspoons for one pint that evening due to the enthusiasm of the l0cal student population deciding to begin a punch up, which Sister V, John & I decided to give a miss, Thus we made haste to a more genial pub with an older clientel (30+), which also had better music anyway..(c’mon, even @ Christmas there’s only so many Slades “Here it is Merry Christmas & Stiff Cliffs “Misletoe & Wine one can hear without ones ears starting to bleed!).
Boxing day was a more staid affair due to the fact that Sister V, John & I all came down with colds….urgh! Hence we lazed about, eating & drinking & blowing our noses! Got up reasonably early this morning & made my way back home to North London dragging a very full holdall behind me. Glad the trains were running well & on time 🙂 (hows that for a Christmas miracle 😛 ), as not feeling grand with the lurgies n all.
Luckily or not so luckily it seems most of my friends whom I’m meeting up with tomorrow for food & drinkies also now have colds, thus no worrying about germ spreading..as it seems we all have it anyway. The temperature has really dropped here in London over the past 48 hours….so its really feeling like winter proper now. In all Christmas wasnt too bad considering :).

(psst wouldnt have minded being on the Beach in NZ though 🙂 )

>DAIRY ECONOMICS:

>DAIRY ECONOMICS:

SOCIALISM: You have 2 cows. The State nationalizes one and gives it to
your neighbour.

COMMUNISM
: You have 2 cows. The State takes both and gives you some milk.

FASCISM
: You have 2 cows. The State takes both and sells you some milk.

NAZISM:
You have 2 cows. The State takes both and shoots you.

BUREAUCRATISM
: You have 2 cows. The State takes both, shoots one, milks
the other, and then throws the milk away…

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows. You sell them and retire
on the income.

SURREALISM:
You have two giraffes. The government requires you to take
harmonica lessons.

LEHMAN BROTHERS VENTURE CAPITALISM
: You have two cows. You sell three of
them to your publically listed company, using letters of credit opened
by your brother-in-law at Bear Stearns, then execute a debt/equity swap
with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back,
with a tax exemption for five cows. The milk rights of the six cows are
transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island Company secretly
owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows
back to your listed company. The annual report says the company owns
eight cows, with an option on one more. You sell one cow to buy a new
president of the United States , leaving you with nine cows. No balance
sheet provided with the release. The public then buys your bull.

AN AMERICAN CORPORATION
: You have two cows. You sell one, and force the
other to produce the milk of four cows. Later, you hire a consultant to
analyze why the cow has dropped dead.

A FRENCH CORPORATION:
You have two cows. You go on strike, organize a
riot, and block the roads, because you want three cows.

A JAPANESE CORPORATION
: You have two cows. You redesign them so they are
one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk.
You then create a clever cow cartoon image called ‘Cowkimon’ and market
it worldwide.

A GERMAN CORPORATION
: You have two cows. You re-engineer them so they
live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk themselves.

AN ITALIAN CORPORATION:
You have two cows, but you don’t know where they
are. You decide to have lunch.

A RUSSIAN CORPORATION:
You have two cows. You count them and learn you
have five cows. You count them again and learn you have 42 cows. You
count them again and learn you have 2 cows. You stop counting cows and
open another bottle of vodka.

A SWISS CORPORATION
: You have 5000 cows. None of them belong to you.
You charge the owners for storing them.

A CHINESE CORPORATION
: You have two cows. You have 300 people milking
them. You claim that you have full employment, and high bovine
productivity. You add melamine and arrest the newsman who reported the
real situation.

AN INDIAN CORPORATION
: You have two cows. You worship them.

A BRITISH CORPORATION
: You have two cows. Both are mad.

AN AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION
: You have two cows. Business seems pretty
good. You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate.

A NEW ZEALAND CORPORATION
: You have two cows. The one on the left looks
very attractive..

>Hurrah….&….Boo

>Well the week is ending better than it started…Spent 3 days in bed , sick as dog with a foul stomach bug & finally went back to work today. Totally forgot about the goings on in the USA!!! Yes, yes I know, how can one forget about the USA presidential elections…but hey I was sick I tell ya..didnt watch tv, listen to the radio or read a paper from Monday to Wednesday. So todays Guardian carried a wonderful headline. Thank feck that horrid little man GW is leaving the White House. I do feel sorry for Obama though, that poor fella has got a whole pile o shite to try & sort out. But hey..its great news he is in :).

On the sad side of USA politics…was gutted to see prop 8 was voted for, in the state of California. What a hateful peice of legislation…Marraige is only for heterosexuals…pfft bollox!….I only hope that sometime later down the road..(not too much later)..Gay people in the USA get the same rights as “hetero” couples do for their partners, with something like a civil partnership as we do in the Uk.

>Thames Festival

>I decided to go out & about down the town yesterday originally to get some photo’s of various sites, however in going down to the Southbank I stumbled across a big ole festival on by the Thames. Gotta say that was quite a nice surprise & i`m amazed I did’nt totally freak at the size of the crowds..(I don`t do well in crowds you know 😛 )..loads of music, street performers & good food & Beer :). The weather was great, very warm & sunny which was great as lately its been piddling down with rain & chilly. Living up on a Hill in North London sometimes make you forget how much is going on in the city….. but then maybe I just need to get out more ..lol
